A few suggestions

I like the idea of a Shared Starbase formed by united planets that was mentioned in another thread. Perhaps the more influence your race has the more benifiets you get from the base and also maybe had the races vote to add to the base from time to time with all races paying part of the cost. Also I would like to see a "voice" of the minor races on the UP if possible. Maybe have the AI "elect" which race is the speaker ever 20 years or so and have them vote with whichever race has the most influence over the minors. Also will we be getting race pictures for the minors eventually or will it always just be the symbols?

you mean like having the 6 "major" races and then another voice which speaks for all the minor races? such as the league of non alligned worlds?(from b5)

it would make it interresting but it would have to be well balanced or its voice would be too powerful, like only getting 1/3 of the influence it would get if it was a major race or:

x amount of the races vote option A (e.g 60%)
and x amount of the races vote option D (e.g 40%)

and the only amount of influence points which show up in the UP are the ones who voted option A(e.g 6000Influence points out of 10000)

its worth looking into tho

With the curent acting of the minor AIs (colonizing each and every planet in nearly every sector) they would rule the UP as they have the most planets if the Major AIs started with a weak setting.
