"Hypocrisy is the act of pretending to have morals or virtues that one does not truly possess or practice. The word derives from the late Latin hypocrisis and Greek hupokrisis both meaning play-acting or pretence." -Wikipedia.
It seems like everywhere I turn, all I see is hypocrisy. i see hypocrisy when people try to defend themselves, and they know they're wrong. when people try to correct someone else, when they've got bigger issues than the person they're trying to correct. I see hypocrisy in my friends, who act one way when they're with certain people, and another when they're with others. Hypocrisy in people who lead Bible studies, and joke about having their hands up girls dresses. Hypocrisy in myself, and my vain attempts to be all God wants me to be, as i watch myself act the opposite of how i wish i could.
We're all hypocrites. there is no one who hasn't said they'll do something and done the opposite. no one who hasn't pretended to be someone they're not. no one who hasn't tried to be both the sinner and the saint. no one is perfect. so next time before you call someone else hypocritical, think if you should really say that, or if it would only be exposing your own hypocrisy.
