I've been surfing Joeuser the last few days of my return, to find that prolific writers have become somewhat snobish in their pursuit of "points". I have returned not for rankings, but for the purely selfish ability to spout my warped and boring opinions to any who may read them.
Before I lost my password and went into self-imposed silence, I had opined to the rank of 30 something within the timespan of about a month. Perhaps I may once again attain that lofty, and now exclusive, status once more.
Do I care?
Not that much, it's a nice ego stroke,
I just like the forum's availability for the most part.
The rankings do offer a filtering mechanism of sorts, I just hope Brad doesn't miss any decent articles that I may accidentally produce.
I so enjoyed my brief exposure to the "Featured Article" frame ( topic was growing older - stream envy),
OK, so being read is a nice benefit.
A really nice benefit.
