Things I'd Like to do Before I Die

Got the inspiration for this off of serenity's blog:

  • Fly a plane solo across the country
  • Parachute into the Grand Canyon
  • Put together a really BAD band for a "battle of bands" competition, but have a lot of "seeds" in the audience to talk us up and scream loudly when we're playing.
  • Make up a faux celebrity name (complete with webpage) and "crash" a high roller's nightclub with full entourage
  • Whap Ryan Seacrest with a Nerf Bat
  • Whap whoever put his star on the Hollywood walk of fame with a Nerf bat
  • Win Ben Stein's Money (think he'd bring back the show just for me?)
  • See my name appear on the presidential ballot in at least one state
  • Be involved in at least one "elvis" or "virgin Mary" sighting hoax
  • See the Mariners win the World Series
  • See a book of mine become a bestseller
  • Four words: Jerry Falwell. Dunk Tank.

lol...this is great, Gid. I especially enjoy the Nerf bat goals, and hope that when you take your last breath you can smile and know that you accomplished all your goals.

I must say that the Virgin Mary hoax is totally worth it! When I was 15, some lady on the news claimed that Mother Mary was coming to her farm. My mom fell for this one hook, line, and sinker. We ended up being part of a crowd of thousands at this farm in the burbs of Cleveland waiting to see the image in the sky. All we saw were rainclouds. It ended up pouring! There were cars and people in wheelchairs stuck in the mud. Too bad Mary didn;t make an appearance, they could have used her help!

lol! I like the idea of the BAD band! It'd be cool it you actually did it and let us know how it went!

2. Naked skydive, bungi jump, horse ride.
3. Write a bestseller.

You are crazy!

But the rest of them are pretty good!  Except the fly solo one.

Meh. I'll put the "Grand Canyon Parachuting" thing last on the list. Just in case...you know. As for flying solo, I was pretty close to my first solo flight when I stopped taking flying lessons...I hope to go back and continue when I can.

YEA!!!
My List?
1. Go riding one more time, have to be a big horse tho.
2. See Hebo, Oregon one more time, miss the sanddunes, ocean and the whole coastal area.
3. Be in a parade on the 4th of July, on a float
4. Dance the night away again, with Rupert from Survivor
5. Spend one day with my first husband, and one with my last boyfriend.
6. Spend most of the time with my kids and grandkids, on a
trip to Scotland.
7. Take a trip to the town in Wis. where my Greatgrama was born.
8. Go to the drive-in movie with a van full of friends!
9. Visit a lady in Milwaukee, Wi. that saved pics of my family for 45 years and spent the last 35 or more trying to
find us so we could have them.
10. Visit with JU posters at a JU picnic!!
