So, I'm cruising this thing called "the internet" and I see news reports saying that former Iraqi leader Saddam apparently wants a sex change. Something about have been seen in pictures that were meant for Victoria's Secret or some such catalog featuring Saddam in the Hanes/Fruit of the Looms.
I just don't understand how Saddam could have fallen so far though. From former dictator for life, now down to underwear model, and apparently so inspired by these new photographs that he has decided to change his name to Sue.
I remember an old country music song by Johnny Cash about a boy named Sue and how that name supposedly made the boy much stronger. I suppose that Saddm's time in jail could be finding him on the wrong end of being someone's "bitch", and perhaps that is where this desire to get a sex change comes from. It's easy enough to see that he wants to stick with easy names that begin with an S. I guess Saddam got tired of the Bush family mispronouncing his name over and over again, and he figures it is easiest to just go with the flow and get the big change.
Perhaps he saw Mr. Garrison's fine transformation earlier this season on South Park and the thought really intrigued him.

On a more serious side, Saddam wants to sue because photos of him in his getting ready for bed-time attire have been published? Who friggin' cares. Threats of more violence because of these photos - can someone tell me why? Because this two-bit thug, former dictator is shown in his under-garments? So what.
Some of the Islamic world needs to wise up and damn fast. Those folks need to remember that Saddam was using the Islamic religion to try to incite a holy war and get a few more people on his side. He was never interested in the plight of anyone but his own damn self, but if he could somehow start a jihad against his own enemies, he was more than willing to take any additional help he could get.
Much like the overly sensitive response to the thought that some pages of the Qu'ran could have been flushed down the drain, the idea that Saddam's photos are a humiliation for the islamic world is just stupid.
Worst yet, the idea that we are letting these clowns win a psy-ops war against us in that fashion is just disgusting. I know from personal experience that our psy-ops guys are somewhat hamstrung and can't take advantage of all the possible plans they can develop, but still, we should be doing better at winning the hearts and minds of the people in these areas we are trying to help. Instead, we seem to be letting the other side do more recruiting for martyrs, which is just ridiculous.
Anyway, Saddam should be looking forward to becoming the replacement for Cosmo Kramer in the Calvin Klien underwear billboard. He has that rugged look down already.
