Another annoying problem

First off all, sorry for double posting before. Would delete 2nd post if I could.
Another problem that came up several times now in the last 2 hours forced me to uninstall the programm. The first problem (see other post) went away with uninstalling and doing a fresh install.
What happens now is that after some minutes of perfectly working, mousepointer hangs for a short period of time and from then on, I cannot doubleclick ANY file on my primary machine. Double-Clicking an exe,txt,xls,shortcut in my quickstart bar,in explorer, wherever stops working. Right clicking on the desktop and selecting properties results in a strange error message (path not found). I have to restart the machine to get it back working again.
None of this happended during testing the 1.0 version

What kind of mouse do you have and does the problem go away if you unload Multiplicity without the reboot?

I'm using an IntelliMouse Optical by Microsoft connected via USB and using the "built in" Windows drivers.
And no, the problem persists after unloading Multiplicity. Loging off and on didn't seem to resolve the problem, just rebooting. Not even killing the MULTIS~2.exe on the command prompt helped it (btw: not being able to kill it via TaskManager isn't very comfortable, but ok for me).
Never had this before and after uninstalling and using the pc for a day, problem was gone. I'm pretty confident it seems to be related to Multiplicity.

Next time it happens, try pressing & releasing both shifts, controls, alt, the windows key & escape.

i did an uninstall on both machines, deleted all registry keys and did a clean install of the freshly bought standard edition.
so far, everything seems to be fine. i'll try your keyboard combo if the problem should appear again, which i don't hope

BTW: I've managed to find a way to recreate something that resembles this problem: if I let my secondary go into screensaving mode (Std WinXP logo, after 10 mins, no hard drive or monitor powerdown, no sleeping mode) and leave it there for a while, moving the mouse to the secondary will not kill the screensaver and (probably as a result of that) I am no longer able to move the mouse back to the primary. Hitting a button on the secondary keyboard will wake the machine but does not return functionality to the mouse. Hitting buttons does not seem to have a lot of effect - a restart of the MP service on the secondary restores everything to normal.

i have this same exact problem, when it the mouse starts to hang, and then can't double click and stuff. i use the wireless intellimouse explorer 2.0. suckkage man, LOL

I am having a similer issue using Windows xp sv pk 2.  My secondary does not go into screen saver mode or anything, however after a couple minutes of intense back and forth on each system, I consistantly come to a point where the secondary system continues to work fine, and the Primary system stops responding to actions.  I can still move the mouse, and highlight stuff, however, it will not click/type anything like that.  I have to completely close the program and reopen it for it to work normally again.  and it will do so for a period, and then i get the same situation. Please help....MP rules, if not for this bug....PLEASE HELP...thanks!

Is there a fix planned for the problem described by Lux97 on 12/19/2005? I have the same problem, in that the mousepointer suddenly becomes erratic and I lose the ability to click. The problem happens every week or so and the only way to solve it is to reboot the primary machine. Thanks

Hi Neil - I have MP 1.02, which is the only release shown on the MP download page: https://www.stardock.com/products/multiplicity/downloads.asp

Is MP 1.04/05 beta or fully released, and where can I download it?
