I raise them myself as a small farm hand spinner, this being my point, my bunnies are PETS all 19 of them.. I love the wool they provide and love to spin . so YES they are here and not raised en masse persay , I have a set number of bunnies I can afford to care for and feed and it costs alot more than GRASS ... I take very good care of my rabbits and my sheep, which I also use to spin from. Small farm flock owners cannot afford to mis treat or abuse or stockpile , mishandle thier animals because on a small farm thier numbers are very limited. every single one counts. ever bunnie has a name , lets see, theres mopsy pretty baby, butterscotch, kisses, elvis, velvet, elizabeth, dusty mop, charmin, mr whipple, angel soft, cadburry, marshmallow peep, amaretto, brillo, hazel, alice, jelly bean, and nutmeg... my sheep have names, mostly after disney charachters, and this is what I mean when I say small hand spinners, farm owners, need supported, our fiber critters are very well cared for, which is also why this is where you can obtain your best product. besides lol mis treated angora rabbits, do not produce good usable fiber.
