1. He died on the friday.. well could have been another day but its the day the traditions use. Sunday is the day of the resurrection.

Actually I think Easter is celebrated on the Sunday after the Spring Equinox or the full moon after a certain period in the calander symbolising a pagan festival to do with new life??

2. I dont think Jews celebrate Easter they dont believe in Jesus.

I don't know if it is true, but "legend" has it that coloring easter eggs is part of the greek orthodox tradition, and spilled over to everyone else.

The eggs are in part from the red eggs that the Greek orthodox use in celebration.  It comes from a story of Mary Magdalene.  Following Jesus's resurrection, she used her social status get into a banquet given by Tiberius Caesar.  She held a plain egg in her hand and exclaimed "Christ is risen!" Caesar then said that Christ rising from the dead was as likely as the egg in her hand turning red while she held it. The egg in her hand then turned a bright red. 

Like most modern holidays, Easter started out a Pagan holiday.  It was a celebration of "Eastre" who is the Goddess of Springtime and "Offspring".  Eastre's "earth" symbol is the rabbit (which is where the Easter Bunny comes from).  I mentioned that the colored eggs were partly from the Greek, but the other part comes from how they have been a symbol of fertility and rebirth (spring) for as far back as we can tell.  People used to dye them using boiled flower petals.

Le Lundi c'est juste un vacance parce que Dimanche est deja le weekend. Christ est probablement crucifie le 3 Avril en l'annee 36. Meme le pape croit que c'est probablement la date. Le Bible dis que la lune est devenu rouge comme le sang pour noter le mort de Christ. Et pourtant, le 3 Avril il y a eu un eclipse de lune, ce qui rends souvent la lune rouge.

Les Juifs fetes la "passover" depuis longtemps, et c'est juste que Jesus a ete tue pendant le passover, parce que c'etait pendant cet festival qu'il a pris les risques et Judas lui a trahis. Les pagans ont fetes aussi le Pacques, et ca fete la fertilite et la naissance, et c'est pour ca qu'il y a la symbole des oeufs, ce qui represente la nouvelle vie. Je sais pas pourquoi il y a un lapin. Et bien sur que les oeufs ont reste parce que la resurrection ca fete aussi la renaissance de Christ. As it happens, there was a lunar eclipse on 3 April 36, which often makes the moon appear red. We still use Easter eggs because the resurrection is also a festival to celebrate the rebirth of Christ, so they are still appropriate.
