Dear MODERATE MAN,
First off i would like to compliment you on being able to admit your mistakes you have made in the past, and i highly respect that. Next I would like to make my own comments and answer some of the questions you had on your article. First, I make mistakes just like every other human being and I do admit to them, but i find your statement on liberals never confessing to mistakes completely inaccurate. In fact it seems to be the right wingers that tend to cover up their mistakes. For example, im sure you remember back in the 2000 election how George W. Bush was apperently an alchoholic back in the 70's, and at first he denied it, but once his 1978 arrest record went public, he admitted to it. Even further he has denied ever using narcotics, but month ago, secret tapes were released by a documetor with him saying,"I don't want the American Public to know about my marijuana use, because i dont want kids saying 'President Bush smoked pot so why can't I?' " Next, you made the statement "Funny how when a liberal is blasting someone it falls under free speech but when a moderate or conservative does the same its “attack politics” or just plain mean. How does that work?" and I'll tell you how it works. Around mid 2004, president Bush released TV ads talking about how John Kerry didnt really deserve his purple heart, and that he just shot himself in the leg to get it. That's just not even true #1, and #2 even if it was, it wouldnt affect how he would run the country. When a liberal puts out a degrading ad, its about mistakes Bush actually made in his presidency, such as how we went to the Iraq war for the wrong reason. Back in late 2002, the president said he would only go to war in Iraq if Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. When UN and U.S. inspectors went to Iraq, they found no weapons of mass destruction, yet we still went to war in Iraq. To answer your questions, when democrats attack, they attack on the actual mistakes a republican has made as a president, and when republicans attack, they simply lash out on a democrat's past personal life, that may not even be true. In conclusion, I hope you can understand the truth of politics and search for yourself what you believe in and what you dont, since Broadcasting companies(such as Fox News) are just plain bias, try watching CNN or MSNBC for the strait truth on things, and you may change what you believe.
Sincerely,
Shane C.
