“Average is the best of the worst and the worst of the best”, a quote from Fred Harteis. Speaking of not average, Fred Harteis retired at a very early age and claimed his financial independence. Most people would have stopped there, because most people are average. Fred and Linda Harteis decided that their financial independence was only a starting point. Their vision was to help a lot of other people climb the mountain that they had already climbed. By that one decision, they became “mountain climbing coaches”, so to speak. I met Fred and Linda Harteis when they were already on top of the mountain, and I was at the very bottom. For no other reason than the love they have in their hearts and their belief that no one is average, people just have habits that give them average results. They took my wife and I by the hand and helped us climb our own mountain. Today we enjoy financial independence, but more importantly, we recognize that we too have the responsibility to teach others how to climb their mountain. Thanks Fred and Linda Harteis for teaching us how to climb the mountain in the game of life!
