I was in heaven yesterday

Yesterday afternoon i felt great. Just great, it was heaven. It was Sunday afternoon, awfully hot and raining like waterfalls were all over the place. D & I spent the whole afternoon in Kaiviti's swimming pool. I was floating in the middle of the swimming pool with the rain drops falling on my face and my body, and it felt awesome.

I dont think i've enjoyed being the water that much in a long time. It's like I forgot how to appreciate it and all of a sudden it came back to me.

There we were, just the two of us, acting silly as usual. Cuddling, in the water and under the rain. Laughing without worrying about anything. It was so nice, the kind of moment that i'll never forget, because it was so unique. I believed at that very second that we were showered with blessings

We had a fruit cocktail by the bar, as we were having a rest before going to rent a DVD (White Chicks, hilarious!) and heading home. I put a mattress in front of the TV with pillows and a soft blanket, while D cooked some pasta and creamy sauce with mashrooms and ham. DE-LI-CIOUS! Aaahh, you cant imagine how relaxing it was after being a mermaid in the pool, lol!

I confess most of our sundays look like that, but yesterday it felt incredible. I felt alive and happy and so in love...

Ah, looks like you've sorted out your matters of the heart with D. Good on you. My Sunday was spent on the road, driving back home from Canberra. Not as splendid a way to spend a day, but it was nice to get home.

Thank you Maso Yes, i guess i've sorted them a bit, and oday is Valentine's so, i'm in a loveydovey mood, lol.

How come you were in Canberra? I've never been there, how is it? That's quite a long way from Sydney, hope you've had a well deserved rest!

Actually, it is only 3 or so hours drive from Sydney, but we had to go via a little town called Bungendore to see my wife's parents.

We were in Canberra to see my parents off as they hit the road again. Basically, they've been travelling around Australia for the last 4 years and are on their way to Tasmania, via Melbourne, for a few months.

I lived in Canberra for about 10 years. Canberra is a great city for some but I prefer Sydney. The only reason I stayed in Canberra was because of the job I was doing at the time. When that finished, I moved to Sydney.

I have had some well-deserved rest, although not near as much as I would have liked. Thanks for the wishes, though.

3 hours? wow, it still is tiring i'm sure... Your parents sound like real adventurers! Maybe they should be part of the Amazing Race 8! he he jkn!

Well you can still have a good rest tonight, unless you've got something planed for Valentine's... in which case you'd need to wait for tomorrow.

My wife and I would love to be part of the Amazing Race. I don't think my folks could keep up with some of the physical stuff, although they'd have a go for sure.

Oh no! Well, just like there's American Idol and Australian Idol, get Australia to do the Extraordinary Race with only Australian residents for competitors. Now that would be cool wouldnt it?
