'I've been on a calendar. But i'm never on time'
-Marilyn Monroe
How i hate it when we agree to meet at a certain time and i'm always the one waitin around for the other person to come. I find it rude and unthoughtful and selfish.
I'm not saying i'm never late. It can happen you know, last minute thing or whatever. But it shouldnt be systematic... The least you can do is call to say, "sorry i wont make it, i'll be 20mns late" or something.
I had this friend who would always show up late. For lunch, for a night out, or just to meet up after work. ALWAYS, she would be late. Whenever she was on time she would still be apologising for being late, because that was how she said hi : 'sorry i'm late honey bunny, how's things?' So after a while i showed up 10mnw late of the time we agreed and i would still wait another 5 or 10mns before she'd show up.
i think it was because she wanted attention on arrival, something like 'aah you're here at last!'. She's always wanted drama in her life, so i suppose being late was something like that. A way to say i'm so busy, i cant be on time.
Needless to say, the friendship didnt last. Not because she was always late, but let's just say it didnt help her case.
So c'mon people, be on time. It's not glamorous to be late, it sucks! (unless you're Marilyn Monroe)
