What Santa's lil Sadist got for Xmas

Or, new toys new challenges

So. What did Santa and his elves bring for you this year? Sweaters? Slippers? A bunch of assorted crap not really wanted and already heading back to the returns line at Walmart, in all propability.

Me, I got a hundred surgical needles, a shiny new pair of piercing forceps, and a brand new cat o'nine tails made from kangaroo hide. Naturally it takes a degree of practice to be able to insert the needles in so artistic a way, and a degree of patience and self-control on the part of the person being pierced which, judging by our brief experiment of a night ago, Sabrina doesn't yet possess. Practice, as they say, makes perfect.

As for the cat, I'll admit I was a little disapointed when I first saw it. Having just paid $250 for a replacement for Madame le Chat (my name for my old and much loved cat, now retired after much hard service) I was expecting something a little longer, a little weightier. But immediate investigation rapidly relieved my disappointment. Yes, this one is about a foot shorter and rather lighter in the hand than the other. But it's balance is near perfect and the lightness of the thing, combined with the feathered leather at the tail tips makes for a deeper and a sharper bite than could be achieved with Madame's longer and heavier tails (heavier because they have rope cores reather than being purely braided leather.

Le petite chat, as I shall call this one, is stronger, more flexible, more biting, and liable to last considerably longer than her predecessor.

Am I pleased with my presents this year?

You bet.
