If you're seeing that connection failed message, you'll want to first make sure your Encryption Key is the same on both computers (Security tab -> Change encryption key). You can also double check your computer name and IP address are correct.
If the above things are correct, a common issue would stem from firewall port settings. The link below documents how you can test if that's the case and then resolve with an included batch file.
