Hi. In windows 10 and up the file search box located in upper right corner of file explorer doesn't work normally anymore. There is no normal way to search for a file by date, time, month, file extension etc as it used to work in windows 7, 8.1 and early builds windows 10. It DOESN'T WORK. Help desks still contain articles how to use it but it doesn't work.
I have an idea for a new Stardock software that would replace or make a search field in file explorer to work as it used to do in previous versions of windows. Modern search is retarded, takes a lot of time and has false returns. I have no idea why ms did this, but this issue is not fixed for years and afaic they are not going to fix it. Just like Start8/10/11 that returns classic start menu, there is a great demand of FileSearch8/10/11
Please.
Filesearch partially works only this way currently:

and it used to work like this:

Currently there is no way to use calendar popup window and any other features. And it used to start searching and showing results instantly even if you just start typing in something. Now it doesn't work, or searches for hours. ms simply ruined this function with some of updates and never made it work again.
And this is not just local bug. It is a global change in Windows.
