So I bought the entire Stardock apps suite as it was a few bucks more than Fences + Start 11 (which are GREAT. I've been a Fences user for nearly a decade) which were what I primarily wanted.
Those 2 have been flawless and really improved Winblows 11.
But apps like the live wallpaper one, Deskscapes 11 "Beta", which puts animated desktops in place?
BROKEN.
Why even sell a barely functional Beta?!?
I'm running Winblows 11 on a new Aurora Alienware Desktop with 32 gb of memory, a GTX 3060 Ti and and i5 processor that spools up to 4.6 ghz
That app CONTINUALLY locked up and crashed.
Uninstalled.
No more locked screen and cursor!
Tried Cursor FX.
Was fine for a day or so.
Then my pointer started to stutter, lag and hang up.
I tried all the known fixes for this issue in Winblows 10 (and 11):
No change.
Then it dawned on me to shut down Cursor FX tonight.
Problem INSTANTLY gone!
Started Cursor FX back up:
Problem returns.
Uninstalled.
The other bundled apps have next to zero use for me so I can't comment as I didn't install them.
So I don't want tech support.
I fully expect a pro-rated refund for these 2 apps that are clearly buggy and/or broken.
I contacted Stardock about the issue with the live wallpaper and they told me, via email, they don't offer tech support via the very email they responded to!!
Told me I had to post here. Wow.
I didn't bother then but now that I've found a second crApp in Cursor FX:
I'm posting now to demand a refund based on the % of the bundle price these 2 apps make up, based on the applicable % of their retail value in the bundle.
I got the bundle at 39% of retail for $25.99, so with the 2 useless apps costing $12.98 at retail, $14.67 with tax:
The pro-rated refund for these 2 useless apps at 39% is: $5.72.
Please see to it this amount is credited back to my payment method asap please.
