Hi, I love Fences.  I use it so much and it is such a core part of my system that I would be broken if I had a bug with it and I couldn't get it running again.  I don't want to make this a developer bashing post.  I want to update fences without risk.  I would very much like to experience the benefits of recent releases. 

When I updated to Fences 3.10, I couldn't get it to run with the "explorer crash" bug.  I spent about 5 hours combing over my system trying to find some conflicting app, before I gave up, uninstalled 3.10, and re-installed 3.09.  At the time, I did a lot of searching for solutions and didn't find any that worked.  

My only answer was to re-install an old version of Fences.  Right now, I have 3.0.9.11 working.

So now, I get an update nag from Fences what seems like a few times a day.  I would like to make that go away.  I feel like my system reliability is being held hostage. (it just kicked me out of a full screen app)

My proposal to Stardock:  I will try your update.  BUT you need to guarantee that I will be able to downgrade back to a working version of Fences.  

I have spent too much effort on this.  I broke a few things trying to get Fences to work last time we did this.  I still see comments complaining about performance losses and the inability to find downgrades exes.

I don't have confidence that the "explorer crash" has been entirely fixed.  At the release of 3.10, there had been bug reports in the beta forums for months about the same explorer crash.  If it wasn't fixed for release, I have a hard time trusting it's fixed now.  I know that some bugs are hard to track without broad user testing.  I am willing to test, but I don't want to be stuck with broken Fences as a result.
