2 things.
#1 - Where is the change password located from within my profile or account settings? I can't find it.
#2 - this will be a bit longer - below:
I was able to change my password for the the Star-dock account page with a few issues.
I use ublock in Firefox which is disabled site wide for Stardock.
My passwords are usually 48 characters long and auto-generated from the following website: https://passwordsgenerator.net
I forgot my password and used the reset password link and all that worked perfectly to bring me to the correct page.
I entered my 48 character password, abiding by the no PIPE characters allowed note on that page and no more than 50 characters long.
The change password page absolutely would NOT allow me to use the above parameters (no pipe character|less than maximum character limit)
So I went to the password generator site once more and selected to option "Exclude Ambiguous Characters" and reduced the characters to 36 characters, ensuring the auto-generated password did not have any PIPE characters in it, same thing - would not allow password.
I went in this vein until I was down to 15 characters with zero special characters - only lower case/upper case characters.
This is ridiculous.
In today's age a 36-48 character password with special characters should be a no brainer.
I understand there are some OLD, VERY OLD Unix based systems that may not handle special characters well and especially the PIPE ( | ) character and the EXCLAMATION ( ! ) character.
I believe most Unix systems handled this problem so it no longer exists sometime around the year 2008 or so (I may be wrong about this-my old memory is getting skewed lately on time lines).
This is an example of what I was forced to use as a password: rLZJt24WeBXLryv (site reports WEAK PASSWORD)
This is an example of what I would like to use as a password: 4SqC<+uaR7e=K>?*5C*btD/(KhgW5[\$BHP`?kcpD5M.uHjN (STRONG)
Either way, limiting users to 15 characters with none special is plain ridiculous.
PLEASE fix this.
I use Firefox for literally everything and it always works on whatever site I go to. This is the only site that does not work as expected in Firefox
SO, PLEASE DO NOT TELL ME TO USE ANOTHER BROWSER - THAT ALSO IS RIDICULOUS.
