Okay, now a huge reason i came here was due to MWB constantly putting my stuff in a "mouse without borders" folder, and requiring archiving for more than 1 item. (having wol and kvm was icing, as was a general attraction to stardock software)
so far, WoL hasnt worked for me one time, the mouse has disappeared whenever it feels like it, screens have to be pre-woke from standby as the kvm doesnt seem to do so and i end up with a black screen, ive lost password connection that required a hot mess of every fix under the sun to randomly fix, and now... i cant copy and paste.
i mean cmon. Taking all suggestions at this point. maybe theres some big giant item that ties all these together that will solve all my problems.
My entire house is hardwired with cat6e, other wol apps work, mwb and synergy both were able to transfer files without fail.
I assumed it was kvm related so i closed the kvm and tried via seamless, nein - still fails.
another day, another multiplicity issue.
is there something that usually causes this? Should i be using the "always use this IP address" tickbox or no?
EDIT: found the problem. a few days ago when my password simply stopped working to my secondary, i changed it as one of the attempts at fixing. Needless to say, it didnt work and i changed it back.
Here we are, a few days later and suddenly - the password has reverted to that temp password I used for process of elimination. Seeing this on my primary, i changed it back to what it should have been - moved over to my secondary, and multiplicity just crashed from the tray. How is this even a thing? That pass shouldnt be saved anywhere. it was changed.
couldnt have newer or better taken care of hardware (or environment for that matter, pc's are my life). multiplicity seems exceptional in design, but i couldnt recommend it for a second at this point. needs to be refreshed and gone through with a fine tooth comb. even ignoring price point, ive never used anything in recent memory that had even close to this many problems.
just being honest. and im a stardock fan.
Not lost on the fact ive been here on the forums venting frustrations and spewing negativity for a solid week since purchasing, so imma give it a rest. After all, i'm the one who chose to purchase even after a 30 day free trial i likely should have rode out.
