so guess what, spacefreaks, Paul opened a new game in GC3 and searched about for his favorite exploit the Promethion Reserve structure, only to learn much belatedly it's key tech was CHANGED from orbital whatchamadoo to Resource Extraction. For a while I thought I was going blind when I saw it not where it used to be.  I saw the changelog too, and this change was not mentioned.  Was it thought to not be significant enough?  I mean it isn't like you're changing the Altarian leader-babe's fave color from ochre to magenta here.

Actually in all seriousness I felt like a dip, searching up and down the tech categories for this thing, then expecting some kind of programming bug to make it not display on the research selector, I proceeded to speed run thru turns, completing my orbital whatchamadoo reserach. Perhaps it would still unlock as normal at that point?  Nope!

Wish somebody'd told me to look for it 6 levels deeper up the tree.

BY the way I confess to needing it explained what the purpose of that tech screen search function is.  I mean, I type words in it and it locates techs with those words IN the name?  Where is the utility please?  Cause you realize it won't take the search into descriptions right?  So when I type "reserve" or even just "promethion" it would fail to show me Resource Extraction.  Please show me the utility, or give me free stuff.  Screwups like this might seem all the rage, but I'm not going to keep my business with stardock if stardock doesn't want my business.  And despite all the Get-Crusade banners that you see, it would seem this co doesn't want my business.  That's about all I got to say.
