Why are there Two Discussion Forums for this Game?

Is there some way that both Steam and the Stardock discussions groups for Ashes of the Singularity be combined?

Seems a little odd that they can be completely different and posting on one does not register on the other.

I seem to generally end up on Stardock as I click on the ingame link to Go To Forums.
