I purchased Fences 2.0 just a few months ago and it worked fine. After the Win 10 anniversary updates it stopped working with a message Explorer had to be closed and it just shut down.

I decided to update to Fences 3.0 and was given an upgrade offer for the Object Desktop Manager, so I took it. Still the same problem. Fences will NOT run. I get the same message that Explorer must be shut down and Fences closes as well. This takes a minute or more.

I tried running the Desktop Manager to launch other parts but it is slow.

All I wanted originally was an update so Fences would work. The offer of more stuff that seemed reasonable was not necessary or needed, but it sounded reasonable at the time. Now I am wondering if I should have just done without any of it.

Are there any suggestions as to fixing Fences? It installed fine but just will not run.
