From what I've experiences so far I love this game to bits. I want to see it become even better! There are some things I feel are missing.
- Taxes
These companies are not without some sort of government right? So of course they have to pay taxes? I don't really have a solid idea how this could be a thing but it feels like a miss. Gotta cook those books.
- Spies
While I was playing I came to wonder, how much resources does a competitor have? Is there a way to find out? I didn't find it personally but I did consider how such a thing could be implemented. Such as a black market power which when used on a resource generator would reveal how much of that resource they have for a short while. I felt like being able to see ALL of the material wealth someone has is a little too powerful however.
- Insurance
So why isn't there any more on the books methods of protecting your assets? Surely if your precious metal mine get blown up or emp'd you damn wish it was insured. Even if the insurance means a daily fee or something.
- Wages
Employees are the backbone of a company right? So why are we not paying them? HOW CAN THEY AFFORD THE PLEASURE DOME? You are paying your employees with perhaps a single number variable rate which represents the wages divided up between all your hypothetical employees. This leaves a lot of potential, from morale and productivity bonus's. The fact that other company is paying waay more than you could lead to some interesting possibilities. Perhaps you could also with some black market incite protest that you are not paying enough. Not to mention adds another layer for colonies ability to pay for things. Oh sure robotics won't have to deal with that but. The productivity bonus from having happy campers, gosh.
- Logistics
A rather simple question. Why can't you choose where your blimps deliver their supply? The question arises from playing scientific. All those buildings are positioned all over the place. The TIME it takes for blimps to go to your HQ and then allll the way to a glass factory or a chem lab positioned all the way out on some random crater. Why not just have a direct delivery? I think it could be as simple as having a button that says "Ask for resources from source" something of the like. And when it needs resources a blimp will make that delivery to it instead of HQ.
Additionally the only upgrade for logistics is teleportation. There isn't for example an engineering building which could say increase payload or blimp speed?
PS: The sound needs some work, more specifically the pirate plunder sound effect gets grating when it's constantly playing over and over again.
