does this require steam?

Can someone please confirm one way or the other on whether this game will/does require steam?

It doesn't say on the purchase site, the requirements or faq. I refuse to install steam for any game. I just want to know if this game is one I will never be able to buy and play or not.

Yes, you will need Steam to install the game.

Funny, I'll pretty much only buy a game if I can activate it in my Steam library.
