No Recent Items v1.41 and Windows 8 Pro 8.1

Hi,

New install on a toshiba windows 8.1 preloaded OS and there's no recent items showing up.

Box is ticked in the configuration; if there something amiss or is this standard with this version pairing?

I'm having the same issue in version 1.45. I know that the recent items menu used to work and don't really know when it stopped working but it's always empty. Unfortunately I used to use it quite a bit.
