Compatability

Hello all,newbie here

I have just purchased a surface 8.0 rt which i have upgraded to 8.1 rt.

I get msg saying that my tablet cannot run this app when i try to add Start 8

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to get my surface 8.1 rt to add and use a start menu?

Windows RT tablets are unable to run third party desktop applications. It can only run fullscreen applications you can download directly from the Microsoft Store app.

There is no alternative start menu option for them I am afraid.

Info while fumbling around with my mouse on Start windows i accidentally right clicked and got what i wanted. thanks
