I want to point out an app that is a perfect adjunct to Start8 on touch tablets that lack any normal pointing device.  It is called Touch Mouse Pointer and is here:

It is contribution ware.  I have no affiliation.  It was suggested to me on a Dell forum as a way to make my new VENUE 8 Pro actually useful.  Without it I would have had to return the device as not applicable to my purpose.  The controls on my app (and most others) are just too small on its screen for my comparatively gigantic fingers and MS on its persistent path to oblivion doesn't support pinch to zoom on the desktop.

What the app does is create a standard Windows mouse pointer that can be manipulated via an on screen touch pad that can be opened and closed from the notification area of the task bar.  It can be re-sized all the way to full screen so that all that remains is the pointer itself which can then be easily used to work with tight menus and apps which defy fingertip control (such as the one I want to demo for fund raising.)

I don't want to take away from the authors gain from this but must say that Start8 would be greatly enhanced by adding desktop pinch to zoom or even getting a license from him to integrate his app's functionality.
