For some reason, I can only run one DeskScapes background (Winter Snow).
Any other background loads properly, but automatically stops playing after 2-3 seconds even though my laptop is on AC power and no windows are maximized.
What's going on here? I've tried clearing the extracted files folder.

Perhaps a DirectX issue. Try the following knowledgebase article. If that does not help, follow the instructions at the bottom of that page on creating a support ticket.
When in doubt, reinstall.
I have no idea what was wrong, but that seems to have fixed it.

I take that back. Still jamming. Also drove my CPU usage to 100% on Windows Explorer.
Generating dump and emailing to SD support.
Do You have Decor8 installed and the background set to 'Desktop Wallpaper'? If that's the case You should either choose a specific background image or press the clear all button in Decor8. It seems that Deskscapes 8.10 and Décor8 (1.07) are not aware of each other.
