Features with Start8 and Win8.1 ?

I´ve used Start8 since I installed Win8, and I´m very satisfied with how it works.

How about Win8.1 and Start8? Are there still features with using Start8, now when the start-button is back?

I´ve read about some troubles with Start8 and Win8.1 in this forum, but this is perhaps normal with upgrading?

Start8 on Windows 8.1 works pretty much as it worked on Windows 8.

A couple of the themes had to change due to OS changes, but other than that you should get the same experience.

Regarding reported issues, with a new OS you get issues reported which may be nothing at all to do with Start8, but more to do with the OS upgrade itself.

Yes, I´m sure that Start8 can work properly with Win8.1.

But, what are the features now? The only reason why I installed Start8 was to get the Start-button back.

Well that depends on what you mean by you used it to get the button back.

Did you set the button to open the Win8 menu fullscreen?  If so that's pretty much what the OS does in 8.1.  The "Start button" in 8.1 simply opens the Win8 menu fullscreen.  There is no control what so ever beyond this.

If on the other hand you picked any other option such as the Windows 7 style of menu, or the Win8 one in non fullscreen mode then Start8 continues to offer everything it offered before over the OS.
