I seek some tactical advice.

So when you play the game you start next to some "low level" monster dens which I tend to clear out immediatly. But I've been thinking that you perhaps should let them be and just kill their roaming spawns so you have acces to a easy source of xp (especially for the heroes you get later on in the early game?).

Does anybody know the spawn rates for monsters lairs (approx) - I've never seen a den spawn a monster (does it only happen in the fog of war?) And does anybody use this "tactic" (if it exists?) with succes?

Sorry for asking a question which is rather easy to test (my time is limited) and I am hoping somebody have the answer to it for my convinience
