There should be a 1.17 update later today.  It was planned for Wednesday, but the person who has to press the buttons had to leave early.

I hope that Start8 update will replace Win8.1 start button.. i get used to Start8 and dont want Microsoft crap again

The beta works perfectly on my surface pro and win8.1 preview, but anyway you can setup the nonbeta one like this:

- windows key: starts start8 menu

- And then to go to metro start menu simply swipe from the right and press the windows icon.

I am really happy with the start8 and I see that with windows8.1 I'll continue be happy with it
