If you select larger fonts in the "Change only the text size" options under "Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display", the Start8 searchbar cuts off text. It does not appear to adjust based on font size. While I am reasonably sure its not completely trivial to solve, I was hoping that mentioning it here may put it on the road map of eventually getting solved. And if anyone else has found a solution, I would be glad to hear.
