I'm a registered (paying) Start8 Customer, and I'm getting a 'maximum activations used' message: What's the maximum? Is that it, a few Windows reinstallations and my license is not good anymore?
I have the same problem and I have sent an email to the support department of Stardock. I have registered my lagal coppy of Satart8 on my Pc and on several Win8 and Win2012 Hyper-V Server and now my activation has been locked. a few Windows reinstallations and my license is not good anymore.

If you hit this it means you seem to have done quite a few activations and so it requires a manual reset. This prevents mass scale piracy of a single key as it shuts it down pretty quickly.
If you mail support@stardock.com they should be able to reset it for you.
