Unless they live in a bubble, they know.
Heh, as it turns out, over the last few weeks, the persons that I had knowledge about were apparently pulled in and informed that their jobs were indeed going to be gone, but, as it also turns out, at least one of the individuals -- one that I think I'll most hate seeing gone -- is apparently living in a bubble or at least he's putting on a great public face as he had been going around telling other team members that he had a meeting the management and was told that he was going to be expected to take on more and different responsibilities. Uh, sorry, but that isn't true, not given what our team's manager passed on to the other team members (finally, officially).
Some people just never quite get it, and perhaps that one particular team member is one such person. In that area, I'm not certain. Either way, I still value his work effort and know he was a very productive member of our team and would have been in the future as well, if given the chance. Sadly, with the pending budget cuts and belt tightening in general, our team was destined to lose personnel and it looks like that person is gone no matter what.

I take the position that if I post it, someone will...
And that has been, all along, the approach I took, though I didn't name names and I can say with a very high degree of confidence that the persons that would be involved are blissfully unaware of this site. Despite some efforts to perhaps prove otherwise, I'm no idiot, and I very much value privacy and security, so I don't say more than I can safely say as I know anything I say on the net can come back to me in the end, and could get back to people that may not like what I've said or may have a problem with the fact that I've said something publicly, etc.
In any case, I do my best to be careful about what I say.
