If you are having a text issue then we updated the build on tuesday to make a change which should resolve this. Just redownload from the store, or if using the trial just enter your e-mail address again and you will get a new file.
Install it and it shouldn't be a problem anymore.
The problem should only happen if the DWM gets disabled and in Windows 8 thats exceptionally rare, so I am curious to know what you were doing just before it happened. Did you upgrade video drivers?
