Left most bottom corner unresponsive to bring up task bar

Hello,

after installing start8 on my win 8 OS, when I try to bring up my taskbar my mouse almost always goes to the very left bottom corner and this no longer activates the task bar now that Start8 is installed.

Is there or can you do something to change this so that it will bring up my task bar like it used to do in Windows 7?
