Avatar and personnal images not working?

I've been trying to upload an avatar but it doesn't seem to work.

I tried multiple times both whith Chrome and Firefox but to no avail.

When I click on upload, a progress bar pops up, fills up in less than a sec then disappears but nothing changes.

 

Since I see some poster with avatars, the system seems to be working for some people at least.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on ?

It was broken. The avatars you see were uploaded before it got that way.

Are you uploading using https://www.stardock.com/accounts/accountinfo , or another page?

Attempting from there produces a red Image error. box below the Upload button. Using an image I have uploaded before with no problems.

Same results trying from Joe User.

It appears to be broken in several places :https://forums.wincustomize.com/431959

Is the image 100x100, under 40kb in size, and a jpg or png?

Yes to all the above. I tried another image though and it did take, that is it is showing in the preview now. The forums haven't caught up with it yet.

Seems to be working now.

I had been trying to use https://forums.elementalgame.com/account/images

I just tried your link https://www.stardock.com/accounts/accountinfo let's see if it works.

Ok now my avatar appears both on the https://www.stardock.com/accounts/accountinfo page and on the https://forums.elementalgame.com/account/images page but it doesn't seem to appear when I post yet.

edit: and yes the image is 100x100 and 6KB (and I tried a 80x80 version)

Ok my avatar works now, it just took a while for the forums to catch up.

 

So for anyone that had the same problem, use the https://www.stardock.com/accounts/accountinfo page to upload you avatar.

IE9 is my preferred. I have tried them all.

That, Paul, is a whole different story. The OS's may be different, but the built in internet browser's still a POS application.
