Quoting dypsis, reply 7I have noticed with Start8 v1.03 that there now are options for keyboards that don't have a right Windows key under Control > Don't have a right windows key?, but the only option that works for me on my Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 3000 v2.0 is the Ctrl + Windows key. The other 2 options only open the Start8 menu.
Just thought I would mention it.
Those options should work fine for you.
Could you try an experiment and go to the configure tab and untick show user picture and then see if you still get the user picture on the start menu. If so the update was not complete.
Also if so could you e-mail the file produced by running notepad %temp%\Start8 Setup Log.txt to support@stardock.com
Also again if the user picture remains, could you let me know if you were prompted to reboot after installing the update and if you have done so.
Neil, I unticked "Show user picture", and the picture remained. So, I reinstalled Start8, rebooted, then the picture would go when I unticked the option, but it was showing the wrong picture. It was showing a games icon (a Chess piece) at first, then it changed to a blank folder icon.
I rebooted again, and the user picture is now displaying the correct picture and the keyboard options are now working.
