I did actually play a 1v1 and 2v2 yesterday. Though if there are enough players around 5v5s are preferred. I used to think it was kind of silly but the more MP I do the more I see it can help balance out the skill ranges. Without any sort of ladder or matchmaking large teams help average out the skill levels of teams, where in a 2v2 it can be hard to find 4 evenly matched people.

Just for reference, in the 2v2 we quit after I lost my level 2 titan to an enemy level 2 titan with the start of a bomber spam for support. My ally and the guy he was fighting didn't have titans at all, but a level 6 marza and a frigate fleet were bombing his homeworld. Its hard to judge how long MP games take since the game speed seems a lot faster in the beginning for some odd reason, but that certainly wasn't much longer than an hour.

That said, a lot of people will love to take the chance to make a 5v5 unbalanced, especially if they spot a way to ensure most of the pro players end up on the same team. I think that just leads to a less fun game for everyone, but oh well.

I played a lot with Eradica,several time had it reaching lvl 10, and there's no way yout persuade me that it is not OP.

It's decided, the best and probably only way to defeat the Eradica, is with an Eradica of your own. Im using it and it pwns the cruel AI.

Ankylon and Coronata don't even come close...if you add in a large fleet that has lots of non-carriers, then Coronata may be hardest to kill, but once fleets are gone Eradica and Ragnarov stand far above the rest, because they deal insane damage and do so to all targets, not just frigates (which is the main limitation of both Vasari titans)....

I love to see the fact that the Advent actually seem to be....powerful.

The Advent rebels have long been in a kind of weird place: under the surface they suffer from many of the same problems as their loyal bretheren- but they are kept a highly competitive race primarily because they have 2 absolute bombs at their disposal: The Eradica and Wail of the forsaken.

That's not to say all their new tools suck- they made out better in general then the advent loyalists as they have some nice eco techs(Revive & Expulsion) And two low tier decent combat boosts(reanimation & faster shield regens).  But honestly I don't think either of those really do much to address some of the advent's underlying weaknesses which are so evident in the advent loyalists.

Ultimately what I'm working towards is this: Honestly yeah, the Eradica and Wail are both in my opinion somewhat OP.  Nerf them much without buffing other areas though and I suspect the Advent Rebels will end up in a similar situation to their loyal counterparts.  These two tools are probably too strong, but we need to be mindful of how they are also probably the main reason the advent rebels are actually competitive.

Not saying nothing should be done- just that IMO we should proceed very carefully with any nerfs to the eradica.

Also I'd like to close with saying despite how this post may have come off my whole opinion on the state of the advent isn't all doom and gloom- rebellion have made great strides on dealing with many of the core issues they suffered from in diplomacy- the introduction of corvettes dealt with their inability to deal with early LRM spam & carrier cap rushes.  The rebels at least have some reason to go deep in the civic tree now, and the Discord has been a wonderful addition to the advent fleet.  They just still have a few kinks that could use working out(phase missiles still too hard to deal with and the pathetic state of culture) which are far more evident in the loyalists who lack a superstar tech/titan strong enough to hide these weaknesses.  But until said kinks are worked out, the current eradica is a pretty effective band-aid.

Aye I know.  I've been making that same blasted error since early beta- Intellectually I know it's "sacrificed," but in the heat of the moment I continue to subconsciously type "forsaken".  It's really quite confounding.

The advent rebels aren't overpowered.  Quite the contrary, the advent rebels seem to be one of the best factions for multiplayer, for people who prefer to play as advent.

The eradica, like the rest of the titans, isn't something you throw close quarters combat frigates at.  You use bombers to beat up titans safely.  And yes, by the time a lvl 1 titan comes out of the construction yard, you will have enough bombers to kill it in a reasonable tactical time frame, assuming you have been preparing yourself properly.  You kill that titan and then destroy its construction yard with your bombers.

Also, if you are playing as advent, a guardian with repulse can often save the day against an enemy eradica.

Wail of the sacrificed is a very situational ability that is powerful when executed properly.  It is also predictable, and your opponents capability is easily ascertained by doing some quick, simple scouting and doing a lab count.  Naturally, after a while play as if your opponent has the wail anyways, as you never can be to sure if they rush tech to wail or not.  Sometimes this playstyle will net you short term losses, just prepare yourself for those losses as best as you can, and try to guess their strategy so you can trap them in a disadvantaged position.  

Yep, I suspect the same.  They may be kept afloat almost entirely by two tools, but those two tools are absolute bombs.
