yea the devs need to buff then up 15% more damage to the loyalist titan (all weapons)- that should do it, double the amount of credits given when you maw ships! and reduce the cool down time of the maw...

Um, VL is quite possibly the most powerful race right now.  So the titan may be a little weak before lvl 6, but so what.  Just strip a few planets and rush 2000 fleet supply.

For kostura jumping, does my fleet have to be in the well with the kostura cannon? How do I use it? I havent been able to manually target wells with the cannon. Then if I do a jump to a well, presumably to a far off isolated planet, how do I get back in a reasonable amount of time

Did not see any above methods. Please describe how exactly youd get your entire fleet back from a stranded location that you used a kostura to get to

No.  The Vorastra literally spawns a phase gate from which you can use RA or jump.

Not even close. Against the AI you can win with a far smaller fleet, and competitively the games don't usually last all that long. The Vasari Loyalists however can get over 2000 in less than an hour, which is why they are such a big problem.

So to the OP, no they are absolutely not weak, but they will seem that way if you don't know how to play them. It is very much a faction that needs advanced players to use them well, as was true with the Vasari in general before Rebellion (Vasari Rebels not so much).

Howthe is right, VL have the strongest lvl 6 titan bar none.  Nothing like jumping into a gravity well, microjumping across said gravity well and munching 60 carriers in a few seconds.  I lost my one online game to a semi competent noob because he knew how to use a lvl 6 vorastra properly.  

I had a 3:1 fleet advantage, with about an equal economy.  this advantage over time got worn down and the vorastra becomes almost unkillable with all that vasari armor and quick microjumps to safety.  

My excuse was that the semi competent noob opponent happened to be my target #5 in a 6 person ffa, he attacked one human turned AI while I took out 4 players... So he was actually able to farm XP on the other side of the map all the time I was crushing people.  

Pro tip, never let the vorastra get to lvl 6, ever.  Xp Starving is your best bet, followed by some sort of jump inhibition and bombers.  Its a tough customer!

There is no difference between frigates and cruisers, just the name and from what menu they are built from. For gameplay purposes they are frigates. Check every ability in the game, none of them will say they "Target Cruisers", and any that says it targets frigates will work on them. So yes, the maw can easily munch on your HCs and carrier cruisers.

Whoa no, they are not underpowered. Last time I had a match with friends we actually banned them because of Stripped to the Core. When I use them, I just spam military research, because, well, 70% TO YOUR BASE WAVE DAMAGE. Yeah. Also, I put Phase Stabilisers wherever I can. The tax income you get from capital ships when you have the research is pretty sweet as well.

When were VL ever weak?
