Dear all:
Below I list some of the issues, problems and annoyances I run into while playing. If anyone has an idea on how to resolve any of them I would be very grateful if they'd let me know.
Shortcuts
1. Is there anywhere I can find a list of shortcuts and controls for the game? (I didn't play WOM so if they share the same shortcuts and interface controls and they're listed somewhere I would appreciate a link to that one).
2. Can I assign numbers or letter to a specific unit, army or city, so that I can quickly zoom in on them by pressing it directly?
Unit and army management
3. When more than one army is on the same square, how can you consolidate them into a single army (assuming you have empty slots) without having to move them and "land" onto a new square.
4. Conversely, how can I separate an army without having to move the units away from the square they're in, especially when I don't have any movements left on that army? (This is useful when you have a unit with less movements in an army and you want to take it out before the next turn to regain extra movements for the rest of the army.)
5. How can I arrange the order and configuration in which the soldiers in an army will appear once you go into the battle screen (not the order in which they attack which is controlled by initiative, that much I know).
6. How can I select a whole army that's stationed in a city without having to select the units one by one.
Movements
7. How do I know how many seasons it will take for an army to move to a particular square (besides counting)
8. Is there a way to cue army movements? I.e. have an army move to a square, then to another and so on.
Interface and maps
9. Is there any map configuration that would allow me to clearly see each civilization's territory in solid contrasting colors. I have some trouble distinguishing red from deep red and yellow from brownish yellow, especially since only the borders are marked and not a civilization's whole territory.
10. While zooming in and out I see the appearance of an "intermediate" map level, between the regular one and the clothed one, that allows me to see territory marked and units, and removes resources, improvements and terrain features from view. This is quite useful to plan attack, defense and movements, but as soon as I move the map or select a unit, the screen interface goes to the cloth map. How can I keep the "intermediate"level on?
11. I don't have a mouse with the middle button, is there another way to change the perspective besides zooming in and out and the numbers 1-4? Is there a way to assign a particular shortcut to a preferred perspective.
12. What do all the options in the settings menu actually mean. Is there a clear description somewhere? Some are clearer than others.
Your help on any of these issues would be much appreciated.
