There's one thing I really would have thought would be awesome for this game (Since it is kind of a prelude to Sins 2). I would have loved it if Ironclad had put the dreaded 4th race in this game. Not as a playable race, but instead as a final NPC. You play your game to victory condition. Most probably via military or allied conditions. Once you win the game, you get the usual quit or keep playing option. Should you choose to keep playing, then the dreaded 4th race makes it's appearance. If you are the Vasari Loyalists, then they run and make their escape (as was their goal from the start) and it's game over. But if you are any of the other races, then you (and your allies, if any) get the fight of a lifetime. It's winnable, but it's one hell of a fight. Setting the stage for the next game. The next game would obviously have new tech specifically geared at fighting this unknown race. But at least in this game you would get a glimpse at the 4th race and in a very fun and unique way. Also you wouldn't get to see what this race looks like in rebellion via the diplomacy screen as diplomacy is not an option. But you would at least get to see their ships and fight to the death. I've always wanted to see a game do this where even though you've won the game, you also haven't because something else gets thrown in to the mix at the very end. Sins Rebellion would be the perfect game for this kind of gameplay mechanic, especially given it's lore. I know it won't happen, but I still think this scenario would be absolutely amazing for rebellion and would be the perfect way to set the stage for Sins of a Solar Empire 2. Plus add a gameplay mechanic that many would love. What do you guys think?
Even in victory, no one is safe.
