Vasari Titan Abilities Don't affect enemy Titans nor Starbases

I've been playing the Vasari Rebels and have been putting the rebel titan through it's paces to see what it's capabilities are.  Well I've gotten up to level 8 now, but there's a problem.  It seems as though none of it's abilities affect enemy titans and starbases.  I noticed this when I took my titan at level 6 against a level 1 Advent Eradica.  I could not kill it with just my Titan.  Granted it couldn't kill me either, but it is really odd when a level 6 Vasari Rebel Titan can't even kill a level 1 titan.  I then realised that none of my abilities were affecting the titan.  Leech had no effect and neither did my titan's ultimate ability.  I also noticed later on that I was having the same issue against enemy starbases as well.  At least I think.  Maybe the animation was blocked by the huge scale of the starbase.  But it sure didn't seem like the vasari rebel titans abilities were working on the starbase.  But I can say with absolute certainty, that none of the vasari rebel titan abilities were having any effect on enemy titans.  None at all.  This sure seems like a bug to me.  If a high level vasari titan can't even take out a bog standard, brand new, wet behind the ears, level 1 titan with no leveled abilities, there's a serious problem.

Notabug.

The Kultorask is stupidly powerful against fleets of frigates.  Frankly, it doesn't see your frigates as enemies but rather as murder fuel.  It's supposed to lose out when 1v1.  It's a support titan and in fleets involving frigates is so stupendously powerful that enemies will never kill it.  Every ship used against it just feeds it AM and health.  Frigates get disabled, and with Dissever, everything smaller than a titan gets nuked.

While it strikes me too as odd that at least Dissever can't hit titans/starbases, for balance's sake, it is best left as-is.  To allow it do such things against titans or starbases would be to remove it's one weakness.  On top of that, you're playing as VR, so you should have an Orky (in other words, a second titan) with you at all times anyways and those can take down other titans.

Agreed.  The Vasari have their strengths in other places, not their titans like TEC/Advent.

Actually, the Kultorask is a strength.  It will take down a frigate fleet better than any other titan because unlike other titans such as the Eradica with Chastic Burst, the Ragnarov with its shotgun, or Vorastra with The Maw, it can use the health of enemy ships to heal itself and by extension, it's allies while also disabling all enemy ships.  In the event that something goes wrong, you can simply press Nano Leech -> Gravity Pulse -> Dissever and drain, disable, and nuke all enemy frigates and capitals in range.

Once again, I completely agree with you.  The focus of it is the fleet.  So it fits its role quite well.

TEC Loyalists - Defense

TEC Rebels - Offense

Advent Loyalists - Really no clue

Advent Rebels - Sacrifice

Vasari Loyalists - Mobile base

Vasari Rebels - Destruction of large squishy fleets

I believe this is correct for now, please correct me if I am wrong

The Coronata is a debuff fleet supporter.  Suppression Aura is incredibly powerful.  Likewise, Subjugating Assault is actually quite good, but only when maxed.  Until then, the odds of capture are simply too low.

I see, I was wondering what its strengths were, I kept reading at how bad it really is, but I never have gotten around to playing as them.

Honestly I think nano-leech is already overpowered at later ranks(mostly just the AM drain- the damage aspect is fine)- last thing it needs to be extended to more target types.

I can understand your point, but I still think it's a bit wrong.  All of the other titans have abilities that can be used against other titans.  Just this one can't for some reason.  I can understand this titan losing in a 1v1 scenario at similar levels.  But I can't understand I high level of the vasari rebel titan losing to a level 1 of any titan.  It's a bit ridiculous.  Other titans can use their abilities against the vasari rebel titan.  The Vasari Rebel titan should be able to use at least one of it's abilities against other titans.  Maybe not the leech as I agree that may be overpowered, but it should at least be able to use it's level 6 ability.  That would be fair.  The dev's said themselves that the whole point to having your own titan was so that if an enemy brought a titan to the fight you were going to want/need to bring your own titan in.  With this titan, if it's just a titan the enemy brings in, you're not really going to want to bring your titan because it "will" lose every time.  This is from the aspect of a high level rebel titan not even being able to take down a level 1 enemy titan.  It's a bit obscene.  And yeah I understand you could bring in a starbase for the vasari rebels, but you shouldn't have to for a level 1 enemy titan.  That's my point.  Yeah, I agree that leech might be a bit OP against another titan, but at the very least you should be able to use the Vasari Rebel titans ultimate ability against other titans as that ability is completely offensive in nature and doesn't use any of that ability to reinforce itself.  It should get at least one offensive ability for use against enemy titans.

I get where you're coming from, but if it could damage enemy titans effectively, the Kultorask would easily be the most powerful titan in the game.  VR are my favorite faction at this point, but they really do need to have some disadvantage.

Vasari Kultorask is extremely power against fleet, i defeat with this titan lvl 10 the next fleet.

 

400 kodiak

500 corvettes

350 garda

480 javelins.

 

Without problem. Is really OK haven´t damage against titans and starbase, this is the balance with this titan.

it's ult also gives it good utility, taking over planets is such a non-issue with it. I haven't tested this but technically suppresion aura would make it impervious against frigates, cruisers, and capitals(minus their fighters) since you could kite them with it(and still hit them because titans have such long range).

Repossession really though IMO should be able to target neutrals.  I was amazed when I discovered that I couldn't do that.

... not really OP..

don't attack it using anything with Antimatter... Any titan without antimatter is easy to take down.
