I just updated the beta, and noticed when I ran it that it, it ran 'firewallinstall.exe' as part of the setup. Now, I know that Stardock are a very reputable company so its not something I should really be worried about. However, I am extremely curious about this file, and why it is force ran on the first launch.
Running it manually from the command line, it appears to simply be a program which automatically adds itself to the exception list of whatever firewall is running? Is this all that it does?
Personally, I would question the naming of the file, as it immediately seemed very suspicious, more like the game was trying to install its own firewall rather than adding itself to the firewall exception list. Would it perhaps be better to not automatically run the .exe but instead if it detects that there are any connectivity issues, to advise the user to run the .exe to add the program to the firewall.
Just my £0.02, looking forward to playing the Vasari!
