AI Teammates not giving out missions

I started a couple of 3v3, 4v4 yesterday using AI cruel as partners. Prior to the patch, the AI teammates would spam 'Send Envoy' missions non-stop. With the patch yesterday though- the missions seem to be gone all together. A few of the games I would get an initial mission from on the AI at the start of the game well before I even had the envoy skill trained then after that there would be no missions at all.

 

Each time these were on pre-defined maps (i.e., Razor's Edge).

I started an FFA match last night with 4 AI opponents. I did receive a single mission from them after about an hour. Each of the races gave me a "destroy 5 ships" mission at the same time. I didn't see another mission show up even 30 minutes later. I'm not much for diplomacy with AI players since they always seem to be aggressive. I just wanted to agree that the missions thing is a bit wonky.

I've seen a few others mention this since the most recent update. I normally get endless send an envoy missions even when relations were at 20 and they had no other planets to send one too. Since this is the case I've decided to head to ICO and just team up with a human player and compstomp which eliminates all of those issues while still testing the other elements.

Interesting, in my current game I too had several Destroy 5 ships/structures but after that was completed I've gotten more missions as usual and it seems to be working fine in my game.

 

As for the send envoy spam, I usually just would have one envoy short of their total number of planets and whenever they gave me the mission I would just jump one of my envoys from one nearby planet to the other ad naseum. They still gave me some give credits/metal/crystal missions occasionally though. I just wish they were more responsive when I send them a send envoy mission.
