Yeah, some faction specific achievements don't recognise the new subfactions properly (in my case fleet diversifications only worked for rebels). And eaving my game alone for 10 hours with waves of pirates washing over me didn't give me pirate killer. But I guess I can wait for those til release, still unsure wether they will be reset anyways.
What I would find more interesting would be some new achievements. Maybe some purely situational ones, or some achievements regarding the new units and structures in the game (the achievs didn't change since the original game). One or two more hidden achievements would be nice, too.
Those that came to mind while playing would be:
Attrition: Battle for an enemy world for x minutes, lose y units in the process and take it as your own.
Natural Selcection: Destroy xyz units in a gravitywell using your Titan without any backup (fleet/tactical structures/superweapons) and without the Titan dying. Trade and Refinery ships do not count.
Goliath down: Destroy an enemy Titan (with or without guarding fleet) using just frigates and strikecraft. No Caps or Titans allowed in the gravitywell.
Unitology: Show the universe your fanatism. As an Advent player take over x planets and y ships owned by enemy players in z minutes by any means possible.
If it's hostile, you kill it: In a 10 player FFA, come out as the sole survivor.
Neighborhood watch: While being attacked on x planets at once, destroy at least y frigates and z capital ships without losing your planets for b minutes
Hedge-hopper: In last capital planet standing mode, destroy an enemy capital planet without them losing any of their other planets.
Defiant: Refuse a players mission to destroy another players equipment and destroy his instead (needs to be a high value mission).
300: Using a fleet the size of max 300 fleet support points, manage to beat ships worth at least 2000 support points in xyz minutes. Replacing lost ships is allowed as long as they do not increase the fleet supply beyond 300. Help from starbases is allowed. Trade and Refinery ships do not count, using tactical structures or reassigning the fleet is not allowed.
