Well, it's been a while since I've seen anything about Sins in the games-papers and such, but I do occasionally re-minis about the days where I had a Pepsi-Max fuelled Sins night with my mates.
The thing that eventually stopped us though was balance. I mean, Stardock back in those days was no Blizzard in terms of getting things right.
I remember all the lower level ships just became useless late game, and that was pretty unfortunate.
Now, three (or four?) expansions down, how are we doing in that department?
Is there still one Race that dominates, or are they all subjected to as much domination as each other.
Have Star-dock implemented a "logging" system to record victories against victories to see if stats for certain races are stacked up right?
Honestly, nothing would make me happier than busting out some more of this game, I loved it.... But if I'm going to be playing multi player, I want to be able to enjoy it, and know that there is still a chance of me winning at any point of the game.
The excuse "Well, just don't let him REACH that level in the first place for Return Armada" was a huge cop out for me, and if that's the same game Sins is, then truth be told I don't want to come back...
I'll stick with Starcraft. Shame though because this game has potential to be one of the most played I'd say worldwide.
I'd love to know that it's changed.
