Please help. I have entered the twilight zone. Latest version wb and skin studio freshly uninstalled and reinstalled clean.

I was working on a skin and everytime I saved and applied the new skin my quick launch buttons and icons would reduce to a very small size. If I went to display properties and reset the icon sizes it would go back to normal but when I reapply the skin the buttons reduce to tiny. After becoming so frustrated trying to find the problem I decided to trash the skin, uninstall and reinstall both wb and sks in hopes of fixing the problem and started the skin all over from scratch. I was actually updating a skin that was working fine.
So I open a new skin, name it (UIS2). I start with the default luna skin. Without changing anything(only applying the skin, no editing yet) my toolbar drop down menus are not being skinned. They are the classic colors only. If I edit the graphic nothing changes. It is still the classic colors. Any other skin I apply everything works fine. If I try a new skin the new theme doesn't skin the menus. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both wb and skinstudio twice already. I tried the beta version and the non beta version with no success. Same result in either case.

Sorry bout the longwinded post but I am out of business until I find the problem. If I alter an existing skin everything works fine. It's only when starting a new skin. I only added the quick launch problem because it was completely baffling as well. That seams to be ok now that I reinstalled but I am not 100% about that yet. I have done the same skin twice and can't get it to work , I am not doing it a 3rd time until I find my sanity. I have lost a part of my life dealing with this problem.

Any clues?
