What we'd like (that some of you just might hate... )
A new Titan shipyard, not attached to either the capital shipyard or starbase, and it's own entries in the player file which means another build icon/page -which means hopefully multiple titans for us modders.
Something like this -and all its ramifications.

If we had a titan shipyard for 7DS, it'd require a tier 4 research item costing 2 times as much as a capital shipyard for the prototype, then 2x the cost of a capital shipyard to actually build the structure. Logistic cost would be 12 to 18 slots -basically the world is dedicated to building a titan -not much room for anything else.
I've gone on about titan class, titan armor... meh... ignore that rubbish. Keep things simple.
Keep them capitalship class armor and weapons, but look into "Titan" class weapons perhaps. Doubles the types of weapons -standard for non-capitals and capitals like we have now, but also those for Titans. This means research can specifically upgrade "TitanAutoCannon", "TitanBeam", "TitanFlashbeam", etc... without affecting weapons used by the non-titan vessels. Just as antimodule weapons were introduced and given their own entries in the DamagePercentBonus area, so to could this new weapon class.
