Depends how you set it up, 12 or 24 hr. clock, Daiwa (if I understood your reply correctly).

12 or 24 hour 0 in front = am. 12 to 24 = pm.

You guys are thinking too military. There is nothing wrong with the 09:  DX does it the same way.
